East Grinstead
116-10
Knockers
117-4
Sevenoaks Chronicle, 29th September 1973
On a damp but lively track East Grinstead made slow progress against the Knockers' attack of Abbot and Stevens. But it was not until the introduction of Baxter and Martin that wickets started to fall as the home side collapsed for 53-1 to 166 all out, Baxter finishing with 6 for 53.
Knockers began confidently with Hornsby hitting four 4s in the first over. Golds batted in similar fashion for his half-century, (which included 10 4s) as the visitors cruised home by six wickets.
