Bromley Town
175-3
Knockers
171-6
Sevenoaks Chronicle, 20th August 1977
A fine 70 from Peter Day almost brought Knockers success in Sunday's match against Bromley Town and Old Boys. The Bromley side batted slowly for 175-3 declared and despite 29 from Woodman Knockers slipped behind the clock at 59-3.
The challenge was always a tall order but while an in-form Day and Martin (31) were together victory looked possible. However both were dismissed and at stumps Knockers were agonisingly close at 171-6.
