Holmesdale
254-4
Knockers
106-10
Sevenoaks Chronicle, 27th May 1978
Holmesdale all-rounder, Cruttenden cracked eleven fours and six sixes as he raced to an undefeated 124 off a weak Knockers attack. WIth Wooding (58) he added 134 and with Benoit (31 not out) an undefeated 70 as the Montreal Park side amassed a massive 254-4 - Stevens taking all four wickets.
Knockers seemed rather demoralised and only a defiant 31 from skipper A. Martin enabled them to reach 106 against a varied Holmesdale attack - the home team thus winning by 148 runs.
