Knockers
185-8
Penshurst Park
191-0
Penshurst raced to a ten wicket win in 24.1 overs. Nicholls and Cheeseman trickled along until 119 were needed off of the final twenty overs and they got there with 9.5 to spare.
It was hot, a timed game was selected, we lost the toss and were put in, we batted okay, declared two overs early (to watch Stokes get England over the line at Headingley), looked about forty shy of what the wicket suggested, Ziggy batted well for his half century and had a decent opening stand with Calvs, Snellers smacked 36 off about twelve balls. 186-8, short but not exactly shabby.
Tea was good.
Eight overs in they were about 36-0. Rory bowled well alongside Hector who lost his way later on but had the only genuine chance put down. The score was a healthy enough 67 when the last twenty began. After that Knockers spent much of the their time collecting the ball from the surrounding fields. The game ran away from us and the home side were deserving winners with Nicholls hitting a breezy century.
