Knockers
128-10
Chelsfield Park
81-7
Sevenoaks Chronicle, 22nd May 1970
Chelsfield Park's I.J.B Walker went on the rampage against Knockers on Sunday. In a brilliant unchanged spell he took 9 for 40 as the home side struggled to 128 all out.
Ian Miller (23) and Ellison (20) got the Knockers off to a fine start and a big score score looked likely. But thereafter only Keith Miller (28) and Cowan (17) found any form and the Park were set to face a comparatively easy task.
Miller was also in fine form behind the stumps. The first four Park batsmen fell to catches behind the wicket as Francis (3 for 31) and Ellison (2 for 28) kept the Park batsmen tied down. The visitors finished on 81 for 7 and had to be content with a draw.
