Chelsfield Park
168-9
Knockers
120-9
Sevenoaks Chronicle, 24th July 1970
A stand of 93 between Whittaker and Walker was the main feature of Chelsfield Park's innings against Knockers on Sunday. Knockers innings started disastrously, with seven wickets going down for 65, but they managed to scrape a draw with nine wickets down.
After a quiet start, Walker played an aggressive innings which included three sixes. A. Martin bowled steadily to collect six wickets for 39, but Knockers batting let them down. The only defiance was shown by some fine batting from their captain, Miller, batting at number nine.
