Knockers
144-10
Shoreham (2)
146-8
Shoreham recorded a second victory over Knockers on Sunday in their second match against the side this season. On an uneven wicket, Knockers were put into bat and once again got off to a good start from Paul Styles (58) and Stuart Seldon. However, Seldon was removed by a shooting ball from James Trick with the score on 29. Paul Seldon (14) and Guthrie Miller (21) supported Styles well to take Knockers onto 115-2. However, yet another Knockers collapse left Knockers
144 all out, with Pete Smith (10) the only other batsman to reach double figures. Parnell (3-21), Hardstone (2-8) and Ray Trick (2-4) were the main destroyers.
Shoreham's reply got off to an awkward start against good bowling from Paul Seldon (2-35) and Andy Darry (2-31) and with Shoreham 40-4, Knockers first victory of the season looked to be on the cards. A late order rally started by James Trick (19) was then continued by father Ray Trick (27) and no9 batsman Roger Parnell (42*) who put on a 50 partnership for the 8th wicket to see Shoreham through to a tense two wicket win on 146-8.
