Knockers recorded another highly disappointing result, this time losing to Ide Hill. After being asked to field, Knockers set about their bowling well, with Lynden Spencer-Allen taking an early wicket although Paul Seldon was uncharacteristically wayward. Change bowler Guthrie Miller took two wickets in the Ide Hill middle order, while Andy Darry was the most successful bowler with 3-20. Ken Cowan used his quick spin bowling to stifle the Ide Hill batsmen, while Steve Trounce wrapped up the tail with 2-18, to leave Ide Hill 146 all out.
After a leisurely tea, Knockers were pleased to open the batting with Stuart Seldon and Paul Styles although both were very quickly removed by good slip catches. The inconsistent Knockers middle order then struggled again and despite Paul Seldon contributing 26, Knockers were reduced to 55-6. There then followed a dramatic turn around in Knockers fortunes as Oli Boreham and Lynden Spencer-Allen formed a strong partnership to enable Knockers to challenge for the match. At 128-6, Knockers looked very well placed with only 19 runs required for victory. However another collapse ensued as Boreham was removed and Ken Cowan ran himself out. This left Andy Darry and Spencer-Allen at the crease and with only 9 runs to win, a Knockers win looked assured. However, Spencer-Allen was removed after a loose shot and last man Steven Trounce was bowled by Sayers to conclude the match.
