Knockers
179-7
Shoreham
183-9
A disappointing result for Knockers who lost this game by just one wicket in the penultimate over. Knockers got off to an excellent start with contributions from openers Jariwalla (42) and Howe (22) followed by no3 Martin Goff (21). However a familiar middle innings collapse left the tail with much work to do. However, good lower order contributions from debutant Grant Sykes (24), the returning Corin Spencer-Allen (24) and Ken Cowan's rapid 17 allowed an early declaration on 179-7.
This score looked more than enough, however despite the efforts of Dan Turner (3-37) and Andy Darry (2-41) the Shoreham batsmen were able to get some runs together and challenge the Knockers total. The game remained in the balance right to the end, but strong contributions from the likes of James and Ray Trick enabled Shoreham to claim the victory at 183-9.
