Knockers
217-4
Staplehurst
193-7
This was another positive result for Knockers in all except that they could not take the last few wickets to secure a win. Knockers opened up relieved that Julian Watts was not playing again and a fairly friendly attack was laid into from the first ball. Unfortunately Stuart Seldon got a little carried away and holed out but the evergreen Paul Styles held his composure to record another century that was actually his first for a couple of seasons. He was well supported by Paul Seldon and Guthrie Miller as a sizeable total was recorded.
Knockers got going well in the field with Paul Seldon striking an early blow. They then turned to spin and with Andy Darry, Ken Cowan and Edward Darry there were certainly plenty of options. Wickets fell and runs were contained but it was not quite enough and Staplehurst eventually closed on 193-7 to secure the draw.
