Knockers recorded a strong winning draw against Shoreham on Sunday. Electing to bat first, the team got off to a solid start from Paul Styles (27) and Stuart Seldon (59) who provided the backbone to the innings. Another good partnership was formed with Paul Seldon (36) and late hitting from Simon Slater (53no) and Andrew Marshall (10no) enabled the team to declare on 217-3.
Shoreham have held a good record over recent years but got off to a bad start with an early run out. Good bowling from Lynden Spencer Allen (2-26) and Edward Darry (2-29) further damaged the hosts chances and Shoreham finished on 125-8 to claim a losing draw.
