Ightham
160-10
Knockers
161-2
Knockers were pleased to record their second win in as many weeks on Sunday with a first victory over Ightham in over 10 years. Winning the toss, captain Guthrie Miller elected to field first on a green and wet wicket. Knockers were quickly into their stride, with last week's destroyer Ken Cowan (2-25) again enjoying prodigious movement and claiming early wickets. Lynden Spencer-Allen (1-20) also struck but it was the father and son combination of Andy (3-25) and Edward Darry (2-29) who really troubled Ightham as the home team limped to 160 all out at tea. Guthrie Miller (1-39) was the other wicket taker.
In reply, Knockers got off to a good start through Paul Styles (55) and Stuart Seldon (62), who painstakingly put together a partnership of over 100 in good time. The good work was continued by the in form Geoff Smith (22no) and Simon Slater (13no) as Knockers comfortably secured the win on 161-2.
