Knockers secured a winning draw in a highly exciting game against the Smith XI. The Smiths, comprising of 11 members of the same Smith family, were asked to
field first and struck an early wicket through Ben Cobb (2-34). However, their fielding following proved hard work and Knockers were able to declare on 204-4
following contributions from Paul Styles (15), Alex Rayner (22), Paul Seldon (52*), Lynden Spencer-Allen (40) and Dan Turner (22*). Turner's innings included
two powerfully struck sixes.

In reply, the Smith XI were in early trouble against the bowling of Ben Rumary (2-36) and father Hugh Rumary (2-25). However, a middle order contribution from Joe Druce Smith (33) helped get the Smith XI back in contention and it was Nick Cobb, coming in at no 9, who turned the game on its head with a hard hitting
55. The game entered the final over with all three results still possible but Peter Smith played the over out sensibly to secure the draw on 195-9. The other
