Hurst Green
216-8
Knockers
217-8
This was another good win for Knockers who chased down a respectable 216-8. Paul Styles was the star man with 71, and he was well supported by Dan Turner (51) who recorded his first half century for the club.
Knockers lost the toss and were asked to bat, but quickly made some good inroads into the Hurst Green batting. Andy Darry (2-10) was the pick of the bowling and also held two catches. William Ellison Smith (1-24) struck with the first ball of his spell and Dan Turner (1-35) also bowled quickly.
In reply Knockers got off to a good start with Styles, Seldon (28), and the in form Miller (26) but it was Turner who really saw the team through towards their victory target. Styles and Turner put on a large partnership with some big hitting and also some sensible strike rotation. With the target in sight, two wickets were lost but the steady hand of Ken Cowan guided Knockers through to their target for a good win.
