Knockers
98-6
Orbilians
92-5
This was a good first win against a team we always like to beat. On a soft track we were inserted and got off to a good run rate with Paul Seldon particularly taking it to the bowlers. With his brother we put on a decent opening stand and after 10 overs we were 61-1 with Seldon just out. The introduction of the pacy Eversfield for the oppo meant that we then lost a few wickets and we just about managed to bat out the overs, finishing 98-6. Miller's knock included the only six of the day and helped see us through.
Our bowling though was much better, DT only conceding five runs off his overs bowling at a quick pace meant they had work to do. Cowan struggled to find his range initially but then took a couple of wickets later on. Ted Darry took the prize wicket of Hulston and some good fielding from the likes of Sullivan helped us through to the win.
