Knockers suffered an unlikely defeat to Hurst Green in a hard hitting Sunday contest. After losing the toss Knockers were put in to bat, and got off to a good start with in form Paul Seldon (43) and Paul Cook (31). Sam Spink (38) and Guy Howe (46) continued the good form and Tom Watts (63) played some fine shots with contributions from Stuart Seldon and Guthrie Miller to enable Knockers to declare on 259-6.
In response Knockers started well with a wicket for Dan Turner (1-28), but Hurst Green put big partnerships together and only Freddie Young (1-32) made a breakthrough as Hurst Green charged towards the target. Guy Ballard was the star again making a quick fire fifty. Knockers play the Vine Old Oaks on Friday hoping to pick up a third win of the season.
