Knockers
188-8
Linton Park
156-5
This was a good win for Knockers in a 35 over game. Paul Seldon (58) and Guy Howe (57) got Knockers off to a good start, before something of a collapse and then a late rally through Ed and Ollie Marsh, and a classy cameo from James Thompson in the middle order on debut.
In response Linton started very well with both openers scoring early boundaries. The breakthrough eventually came and we slowly reined them back in. Ollie Marsh bowled well without much luck, and Freddie Young and Seb Horner were instrumental in slowing the run rate on a surface offering help for spin bowling. Tom Elliot and Will Smith got amongst the late wickets to ensure we claimed the victory.
