New ground's first hat-trick
Playing in the opening match on the council's new ground at Greatness Park, R. Stanley performed the hat-trick for Knocker and Foskett against Holmesdale III.
He thereby became the first man in the club to accomplish the feat. At one stage he had taken five wickets for six runs and ended with six for thirteen.
Cosker hit two sixes in becoming top scorer with 33 and B. Wildish stood out for Holmesdale by taking three wickets for 11 runs and making top score.
P. Harper, Holmesdale's 15-year-old left hander hit three perfect boundaries in scoring 16.
