Knockers win by nine runs
Several good individual performances by members of both sides distinguished the match between Knockers and Otford on Saturday, which Knockers won by nine runs.
Batting first, the Sevenoaks side had Dinnis, who scored 36, to thank for reaching the moderately respectable total of 77. Apart from Watson-Simpson and Andrews, who contributed 11 each, the rest of the team managed to scrape together only four more runs. There were 15 extras.
Ferguson returned the outstanding bowling figures of 6 for 14, and Dinham 4 for 24.
Otford's performance at the batting crease, too, was generally disappointing. Only D. Martin, with 21, reached double figures, and the entire side was dismissed for 68 - 16 of these being extras.
Baker took 5 for 11, Enderby 2 for 14, and Challis 2 for 15.
