KNOCKERS COLLAPSED
Otford surprised everyone, including themselves on Saturday, when they proved too strong for Knockers and ran out easy winners by eight wickets.
Knockers were in trouble from the third ball, when Watson-Simpson was by Hills behind the wicket off Smith for nought.
The only real resistence came form Oldale and Andrews, the latter scoring 16, but when they had gone, the rest of the side was swept by fine bowling from Dinham and Smith who took five for ten and five for 23 respectively.
In reply, Otford had little difficulty in getting the runs, and both Blackbourne and Ellison hit out strongly to clinch the match before tea. Ellison hit some scorching strokes in his first innings of the season to make 15 and Blackbourne again showed that he has the ideal termperament for an opener, with a well made 14.
