Hibbins knocks Knockers for 6
Knockers were completely routed on the Vine last Wednesday, losing to Sevenoaks Wednesday by ten wickets. The man mainly responsible was bowler Hibbins whose 6 for 28 was his best effort for the club.
Batting first on a fast and true wicket, Knockers were soon in trouble with both Nash and Hibbins moving the ball considerably, and when the first wicket fell at 18 a complete disaster followed.
These two bowlers bowled unchanged, hitting the stumps seven times and giving the batsmen no respite. For the second week running, Hibbins, showing greatly improved form this year, is to be congratulated on a very splendid performance.
Not to be outdone, and to add to Knockers' troubles, G. Bonnet and G. Turner, the opening pair, proceeded to the necessary runs for victory, in confident and easy style.
They had no difficulty against a varied attack, and Wednesday clinched their ten-wickets win by tea-time.
