Farningham
129-10
Knockers
113-9
Sevenoaks Chronicle, 3rd May 1968
Knockers began their season at Farningham on sunday where the match ended in a tense draw.
Batting first Farningham had difficulty in reaching 129 on a pitch that took a lot of spin.
Knockers, in reply, started badly losing Miller in the second over, but Woodman and Martin soon settled and attacked the bowling with some relish.
At 90 for 4 Knockers looked well set for a win but collapsed horribly to 113 for 9 with Captain Leach and tail-ender Bailey defending stoutly to save the match.
