Ightham escaped defeat against Knockers on Sunday by the narrowest of margins and had reached 97-9 at the close. Vandenberg hit 30 and top-scored in an effort to get a respectable reply to Knockers declaration at 170-7.
Woodman sent Knockers off to a good start with 34 and a defiant late stand between Corbett (23 not) and Leach (29 not) kept the runs rolling in. Cornwall finished with figures of 4-60.
