Knockers
146-10
Chelsfield Park
36-10
Sevenoaks Chronicle, 21st may 1971
Chelsfield Park, set to make 146 by Knocvkers on Sunday, collapsed to 36 all out. Knockers owed their success to Nick Bailey, who finished with 7-17.
After some early aggression by Ian Miller (21) and Bob Golds (17), Knockers found themselves bogged down at 89-7 against some steady bowling by Ian Haffenden (3-34). Number eight, Peter Ellison contributed a forceful 37 to take the score to a respectable 146.
The only Park batsman to reach double figures was Williamson (13). Ellison completed a fine all-round performance and, after Bailey had grabbed his share, finished with 3-18.
