Knockers
109-10
Chelsfield Park
111-5
Sevenoaks Chronicle, 23rd July 1971
Chelsfield Park gained their revenge for an earlier defeat by Knockers when, in their home match on Sunday they scored a five-wicket victory.
The highlight of the day was a tremendous innings by Knockers' opener, Ian Miller who scored 53 of his side's total of 109 all-out. All but three of his runs were scored in boundaries, including 11 fours and a six.
The introduction of Guy Hollamby into the Chelsfield attack saw a complete turn around. The yound bowler took five quick wickets - all bowled - and what had looked like a promising start for the visitors slumped to 109.
The Park replied painfully slowly against some tight bowling by Nick Bailey (1 for 37 in 16 overs) and Ian Miller (2 for 25 in 12 overs), Nick Baker contributed a good 37 and it was left to Hollamby and Walker to see the home side through to victory.
