East Grinstead
90-10
Sevenoaks Chronicle, 24th September 1971
Knockers last game of the season was a resounding vistory over East Grinstead. On a perfect wicket Knockers won the toss and batted. Hornsby and Woodman gave them another good start and then Golds, Martin and Bates gave John Hornsby good support. He reached a 50 and looked certain for a century but fell at 92. Sims and Miller then put on 50 in 25 minutes to declare at 221 for 5.
The home side lost three early wickets to Bailey and Francis and lost the momentum necessary to overhaul the Knockers total.
