Knockers
152-9
Marden
113-10
Sevenoaks News, 23rd August 1972
Knockers' star is P. Ellison
A 39-run win for Knockers over Marden was achieved mainly by the bowling of the younger P. Ellison, who took 6-44 in a powerful spell which with support from Baxter 4-29, took out the home side for a total of only 113.
They were chasing a target of 152 set by Knockers, who despite a middle-order failure against penetrating bowling by Sennucks and Kennedy, were enabled by sound opening batting and later defiance to declare at 152 for 9.
