PHOTOS FOR CHEVENING AMBLERS GAME
Botting, Cowan and Darry go for a stroll around the ground.
Marshall prepares for the game by preparing for his maths A level
instead
Botting returns from batting
Darry looks on at the game worrying about the scoring rate
The ground from the pavillion side. The wicket was very soft and
had rather too much grass on for a serious game of cricket. This
photo shows very little indeed....sorry
Howe practices a few strokes ready to go into bat for the first
time this season.
Cowan rearranging his trousers. He did know that the photo was
going to be taken and instead of posing decided to arrange his
trousers.
A particularly pointless photo. In only included it because it
looks quite nice. It is at the back of the Tap where we go after
games to have a few drinks. It is the Knockers club house
And here is the chipstead pavillion. I think the pub is a better
pavillion in the long run.
Seldon ready for action as ever. Paul is probably thinking that
he'd rather be playing his guitar wth his band at this stage
rather than ready to play cricket. But that's just Paul really.
Snellers again with his car
Smith ensuring the scorebook was up to scratch
Styles returns form the wicket having edged a ball onto his own
stumps

Botting. The question is though is the picture blurred because I
couldn't hold the camera still from the effects of beer or can
Botts not stay still for the same reason. I suspect a mixture of
both.
Some of the team. From L to R:Paul Seldon, Guy Howe, Oli
Richardson, Ed Piper and standing Ken Cowan
The team again but in the more familiar surroundings of the pub
where nothing will ever get rained off. The team enjoys a strong
social element with a few beers after the game. It's always
better when you can reflect on a won game as well.
