The Knockers' season rolls on with a fine victory over a determined Bidborough side. Paul Seldon again led the way with the bat after which Andy Roberts took control of matters with the ball.

Batting first on a hot early summer's day, captain Tom Cobb sent out Seldon (79) and Sam Spink (4). Bidborough opener Trett (10/4/28/3) bowled with pace and searching yorkers, rattling the stumps of Spink early on. Paul Cook (14) attacked back with an effective cameo before hitting Clarkson to mid-off. Cobb (3) was the last victim of Trett's opening spell when he was also bowled.

Geoff Smith (66) then forged a partnership of 102 with Seldon. The latter continuing his early season form with an authoritative half century. Smith helped see off the Bidborough openers before attacking the spin. Seldon was the first to fall after Trett returned to the attack as his shot looped up for the grateful Bidborough wicketkeeper to take. Scott Landers (2) was run out bringing Roberts (31no) to the crease. He and Smith then took the visitors to 216 before Smith's stumping prompted Cobb to declare.

Ed Marsh (7/2/21/1) opened against Bidborough's response partnering Matt Watts (6/0/30/2) at the other end. Watts struck first when Trett nicked to Cobb's gloves, he took a second as Marsh held on at extra cover. Marsh then finished his spell as Rossiter played onto his own stumps.

Opener Pinchin (62) was a steadying hand for the home side but after Watt's replacement Dan Tuner (4/1/25/0) handed the attack over to Freddie Young (5/0/41/3), he watched a succession of partners head back to the pavilion. Roberts (8.1/2/24/4) took turns with Young to work through the middle and lower order with three clean bowled. Young took the prize wicket of Pinchin as Seldon caught him on the run at mid-on, after the same two had combined for Young's first wicket either side of a smart Spink catch. Roberts wrapped things up when Young took a catch at mid-off with Bidborough all out for 144.
